Appraisals
on Antique Tiles
Are you looking to have your antique tile or tile collection appraised?
If the answer is yes, please read on! There is a
fee charged and a few guidelines to follow.
Appraisals
The fee for my services for identification and retail market valuation
of tiles generally ranges from $35 - $85, based on the number
of items and research time.
If you are interested in obtaining a quote for an appraisal, please
feel free to contact me, either via email or regular mail. I will
need you to supply the following information for each tile:
1. A clear photo of the front (a .jpg format less than 100K)
2. A clear photo of the back
3. Size/dimensions
4. A general condition description
After I receive your tile information, I will contact you and
quote a fee. There are times when a particular tile does not warrant
an appraisal; for example, a new mass produced tile. Rest assured
that I will share that with you.
If you choose to go ahead with the appraisal, we will make
arrangements from there. I may ask for additional information
at that time. If you choose not to have an appraisal done, I will
either return your photos or delete them (if sent via email).
All appraisals are done in printed form and will be mailed to
you.
For your info:
I am an antiques dealer, and collector, with more than 25 years experience
in antique and collectible tiles. My business, collecting habits,
and knowledge predominantly focus on American and English tiles
from 1860 - 1960. I also have dealt with many fine tiles from
France, Belgium, Spain, Germany, Mexico and Tunisia. Please note
that I am not a licensed appraiser, nor do I evaluate Delft
tiles.
